Respect God | Respect Yourself

If He let it happen, He is going to use it for good!

As Christian women, we are in a position of respecting our Saviour and His promises, and for learning to understand who we are in Christ.

As a Daughter of the King, we have no place for doubt.

Regardless of what comes our way, being faith-filled is the only way to have victory in the Christian life and to overcome fear.

Cancer, death, financial hardship, family feuds; prayer is your most powerful tool, not panic or pouting. Yield to your circumstances and then simply step up to your respectful position in Christ.

On Monday evening, August 12...just a handful of days ago, I was told that I had malignant cancer in my left breast and the start of cancer in my right breast. It was a difficult call, to say the least, as I had only discovered the dreaded lump three weeks ago.

After three days on an emotional roller coaster making calls to my family members in Australia and London, I felt washed up on the shore of an island called "Bleak."

Grief must come to us however; we must allow the grief to find relief in our walk with God. In this, I am elevated above my circumstances and have made a decision to document my cancer journal. We are more than conquerors!

If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, fear does not belong anywhere in your life. Fear expresses the opposite of growing and living the Christian life fitly. It is the complete state of anti-God and is the contradiction of faith.

Faith says, "Whatever it is, it will be okay because of God." Fear thinks, "It is not going to be okay," and does not think much about God at all.

As doubt is to the soul, cancer is to the body.

"What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?" Romans 8:31-32

Fear is relying completely on your own resources and realizing they will not sustain you. A fearful, anxious, frightened perspective toward your circumstances is never good and never from God.

We reflect respect for God through our treatment of others. Learn to understand your unique position as His child. God empowers us all when we turn from fear and decide to change the way we think about our circumstances, ourselves, loved ones, or anything else in the mix of what matters the most to us right now.

Knowing God and leaning on Him completely is truly all we need.

Plug into His presence - you will know a different perspective.

What we need is a return and revival of authentic Christian women, linking arms in faith and demonstrating to a lost world that there is a God and our faith is real.

Until next time,

Deborah
