Respect God | Respect Yourself

If God let it happen, He is going to use it for good!

Just over a year ago, the diagnosis of fairly advanced breast cancer visited our lives. It affected everyone. Like an echo from a canyon, all ears were attentive and eyeballs were fixed.

What would Deborah do?

Many were poised for the worst, yet I hoped for the best. The unknown extras (and there is always more), figuratively illuminated the fog - a winding path filled with vibrant, breathtaking treasures; transformation began both inward and outward, confirmation of God's calling was affirmed in my life, and restoration of a position in Christ that I had somehow lost sight of in a valley of muddled thoughts.

God's glory shone in the maze. His hand held mine all the way. We are glued for life!

Healing came in many forms.

God wants to grab your broken thoughts and weave them one-by-one onto His vine of superior thinking.

We are all in need of healing.

As Christian women, we are in a position of respecting our Saviour, applying His promises, and for learning to understand who we are in Christ.

As a Daughter of the King, you have no place for doubt.

Regardless of what comes your way, being faith-filled is the only way to have victory in the Christian life and to overcome fear.

Cancer, death, financial hardship, family feuds; prayer is your most powerful tool, not panic or pouting.

Yield to your circumstances. Let go of the reins through prayer, and simply step up to your respectful position in Christ.

If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, fear does not belong anywhere in your life.

Fear expresses the opposite of growing and living the Christian life fitly. It is a complete state of anti-God and a contradiction of faith.

Faith says, "Whatever it is, it will be okay - because of you, God."

Fear thinks, "It is not going to be okay," and does not think much about God in the equation.

Cancer to a body is synonymous with doubt to the soul.

"What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?" Romans 8:31-32

The enemy against you is you.

Fear is relying completely on your own resources and realizing they cannot sustain you. A fearful, anxious, frightened perspective toward your circumstances is never good and never from God.

You reflect respect for God through your kind treatment of others. You reflect respect for yourself through the kind treatment of self.

Learn to understand your unique position as His child. God empowers us all when we turn from fear and decide to change the way we think about our circumstances, ourselves, loved ones, or anything else in the mix of what matters the most to us right now.

Leaning on God completely and learning about Him sweetly is truly all we need.

Plug into His presence - you will grow and eventually switch to a light-from-truth perspective.

You will glow because you know that He is all you really needed.

Why? Because you're worth it!
