A Better Life

Sometimes good things
must be set aside for better things.

Is your love for God increasing or has the desire diminished?

Distractions are detrimental to the Christian's life. Your priorities will complement or compromise your attempts to be closer to Him.

Would you like to get closer to God? Every element of righteousness will bring you a step nearer. Prayer, Bible reading, soul winning, Sunday school, church, sharing your abundance with others, following Jesus' example; doing what’s right in the sight of our Heavenly Father is a step in the right direction.

A close relationship with God does not happen overnight. Increments of time invested developing a mindset of eternal values will bring you closer, and closer, and closer. Your relationship with God must be perpetual!

Our time on earth is limited. As Believers, we are to use it wisely - not living for the moment, but living with our eternal home in mind.

What small step can you take closer to God?

No matter how long we live, life is short. Do not put the important off for another day. Set good things aside for better things.

The Bible teaches us in John 15:5 that we are branches on God’s vine. “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”

Imagine that! Without God, we can do nothing – spiritually or acceptably.

Place your gadgets and social media aside and nourish yourself in God’s Word and prayer. Our bodies need good living food to replace cells every minute and maintain good health. Our spiritual lives need God’s living Word and the power of prayer to replace the impure thoughts and grow in His knowledge and truth.

Have a heart for what matters to God. He has a heart for the little things that matter to you.
